Be one of our valued volunteers
Volunteers bring passion, local knowledge, skills and dedication. As a volunteer at Andrew Kerr Care you will have a rewarding experience making a difference to many people’s lives. Numerous opportunities exist for you to share their experiences with us in the Day centre, in our aged care residence or by simply helping out by driving our bus around the community. At Andrew Kerr Care we aim to make your volunteering meaningful, positive and enriching.
“I had the choice to volunteer at the local hospital, but I felt that by volunteering at Andrew Kerr it would give me an opportunity to develop deeper relationships with residents than I would not have gotten from the other role” – Judy
Why you’ll make a difference to someone.
Volunteers are supported in a warm and friendly environment and are highly encouraged to use their energy, passion, skills and life experiences to enhance the lives of our residents, and the people who drop into our day centre.
Volunteers are critically important and help us to do the work that we do. By simply having a chat, making a bed, helping with fun activities, serving morning tea or supporting people on a day trip, you can bring a smile to some of the most valuable (and vulnerable) people in your local community.
It’s the little things (and the big things) that you will do that will make a difference to us and someone at Andrew Kerr Care. For that, we are forever grateful.
