- How long have you been working as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Emma?
- Why did you decide to study to become an EEN?
I wanted to be able to make more of a difference in the lives of the residents I was looking after. I also wanted a better understanding of the illnesses and diagnosis of my residents.
- What was the hardest aspect of working while studying?
Trying to fit it all in!! I was at school 3 days per week and worked 4 days. Placement was also hard as I couldn’t work as much.
- What do you love about being an EEN?
Every shift is different, there is never a dull moment! I constantly feel like I’m learning every day. I love the relationships I’ve formed with the residents.
- What would you tell a person thinking about applying for a job at AKC?
Go for it!! Everyone is so lovely here to work with and our care is definitely the best.
